For now this will be the place where I report on the discordant wandering ripples of my mind. I am born and raised in the beautiful northwest where today I currently dwell in West Seattle with my partner and dog in a small logger box minutes from the shores of the Salish Sea (Puget Sound, for those of you out there who prefer European labels and subsequent claims to territory). I teach the third grade, which I plan to report from (see Miseducated Youth), kayak (see Theda), practice Buddhism (see Shambhala), and enjoy sustaining my existence on Earth through a vegan diet (see VEGAN).
Currently, I am working with graphic novels as a medium for literacy with some of my struggling readers, I am in love with someone named soy chai, am wondering just how deep the cuts to education will be, intrigued and inspired by the world that exists beyond our thoughts, joining the Malcolm Gladwell bandwagon, withholding judgment, watching old shows on Hulu (and new) and organizing the West Seattle Irish Liberation Front who’s sole purpose in life will be to fight for a free Ireland from West Seattle.
Oh yeah, and the title for now is perpetual sneeze, which was exactly what it was doing in Portland (as if God herself was participating in April Fool’s day) when I created this blog, which isn’t really anything at all, because it doesn’t really exist, lacking any inherent self… right? thus… being… empty?
